Celeteque - Sun Care: Matte Moisturizer Review

One day, I was watching makeup tutorials for summer and most of them put on sunscreen before applying makeup, then that got me thinking - I need sunscreen because I always go out and never use umbrellas when I'm under the sun. So I did some research about moisturizing sunscreen's of different brands and I even asked my cousin. Unfortunately, the first ones that I saw were way too expensive for me. Then I remembered, why not look into Celeteque? And so I did. That's when I saw this product. A 50 ml bottle costs Php 230 but when I went to watsons to buy one, it was on sale! How lucky of me. I got it for only Php 115.

What the product says:

CELETEQUE DermoScience Sun Care Matte Moisturizer has SPF30 UVA/UVB Sunscreens that provide double sunscreen protection against UVA/UVB rays as it hydrates the skin. It has an oil-free and smooth finish.

As for my experience with this product, I find it greasy for me even if the package says its matte. It really isn't a matte finish when applied but its more like a dewy-matte finish. The creamy like texture is hard to spread all over the face so five dots isn't enough for me and gives me a greasy and sticky after feel and plus its kind of heavy already. That's just the moisturizer itself. So when I applied my daily makeup routine, it felt heavier and that made me uncomfortable. The good thing about the moisturizer is you can use this when you're on the beach or swimming parties instead of putting regular sunblock on your face.

What I like about this product:

- Can be used on the beach/resort
- Didn't give me breakouts

What I don't like about this product:

- Gives me a greasy after feel
- Sticky
- The texture itself is to thick
- Heavy on the face
- Hard to spread
- Still oily

Will I buy this product again?

- NO

Here are some pictures of what the moisturizer looks like:

This is what it looks like straight out from the bottle.
Pretty thick just by the looks of it.

 When I started spreading it.

 Almost done.

Finally done.

  1. I have the same experience with this moisturizer. It gets my acne-prone skin worst.

Actually, I also make a blog on my experiences on other acne products. Maybe, we could exchange. :)
